They do not explain the work, nor do they seek consensus. Instead, contributors were invited to respond from where they stood—through looking, listening, proximity, memory, sensation, and reflection—using forms that felt adequate to those encounters.
Informed by a liminal framework, these responses gather as an ensemble rather than a narrative. Within the evolving framework of Attack Decay Sustain Release, the encounters themselves took witness to unique versions and perhaps influx iterations of the sounds and sculptures. Constellations operate as a non-authoritative archive: a coalition of voices that holds open the sounds, sculptures, and resonances generated by Nnena Kalu and Rebecca Kressley at Stanley Picker Gallery.Includes a collection of creative responses to Super Trouper from Immanuel Adelowo, Bunmi Augusto, Celeste Baracchi, Denis Colebourne, Meej Douglas, Charlotte Hollinshead, Richard Phoenix, Stella Sideli, and Abbas Zahedi.
